Hello beautiful soul!

I write this from my kitchen table, as tears move slowly down my cheeks. It's been raining and thundering all day, adding to my melancholy.

My sweet dad left his body 8.5 months ago. And every day I still have to remind myself that I cannot cook him dinner, drive him to his medical appointments, make our summer plans together, or ask for his wise counsel over dinner at our favorite  restaurant where they (rightfully) treat him like royalty.

I don't believe I will ever get used to this. Nor do I want to.

My dad was my champion, greatest fan, and biggest support.

He used to say, "I don't really understand what you do; but I know you are really good at it and you are helping a lot of people."

He also used to say, "Find work that you love doing and it won't ever feel like work."

He was right. When I am serving my clients and community, it is so much more than 'work'. It is an honor and privilege. It is a source of upliftment.

Often, it is the antidote to grief.

So, let's do it.

Let's channel our way towards joy, humor, upliftment, and meaningful connection.
