This was an early August harvest from my generous garden. An enormous bunch of bananas and a huge bowl full of mangoes. Yes, I ate all the mangoes myself. Even though I’m allergic. #wecandohardthings
Mother Earth is so generous with us.
August marks one year since we transformed our backyard into a food forest. We are harvesting herbs, beans, bananas, peppers, greens, mangoes, papayas, mulberries, and sunflowers. And that is just what’s growing outside while I write this!
We made sure to include pollinator-friendly plants so my yard is always full of bees, butterflies and other interesting insects.
I had no idea how important my garden would become to my life. It is the place I go in between channeling sessions when I need to reset my energy. Simply stepping outside, even in the intense heat and humidity of a Florida summer, provides me with peace and joy.
If you aren’t currently growing something, I encourage you to start small. You might be astonished at how quickly gardening becomes a beautiful (and fruitful) way to spend your time. After all, we are nature.
Did you know that plants communicate with other living beings? It’s been proven scientifically. Did you know that I channel plants and Gaia? Did you know that you can, too?
