I recently returned from a road trip to Ohio with my teenagers. We had a lot of time in the car, as you might imagine.
As the primary driver, I had about 20 hours to pay acute attention to my surroundings. I saw so many dead animals that had been hit by cars. Most of them were babies: opossums, raccoons, deer, pheasants, skunks, a bobcat, pigs, a panther, turtles, and even dogs.
As a mother, I felt deeply for the mothers of these young animals. I imagined what it must have been like for them not to be able to protect their offspring. I felt grief and loss on their behalf.
Some people would say that I feel ‘too much’. Many people would not even notice these creatures on the side of the road. I notice. I feel. I care.
It can feel burdensome to have this level of compassion and empathy for all creatures. Many times, the overwhelm and despair have felt crippling.
Then I learned how to take those powerful feelings and channel them. These feelings have a purpose. They want to teach me something.
In my work as an empath and intuitive channel, I am in constant dialogue with my guides and higher self. I am consistently reminded that this earthly journey is about learning, growing, and healing (myself and others).
If you would like to learn how to channel your empathic and intuitive abilities in directions that serve the highest good, let’s talk. Your soul has a mission. Let’s uncover it together.
